We went to the ward trunk or treat...it was also a dinner. While I was in the garage getting food for the 5 kiddos, Brandon was trying to keep everyone together out on the lawn. Suddenly it started to hail BIG and Hard! People all filed into the garage pushing me towards the back. Brandon was trying to round them up while holding our 5 month old baby. Lets just say it was chaos. When I pushed my way out of the garage I saw Colby running almost in circles screaming...not knowing where to go. Brandon had just left screaming Parker and crying Dallin on the porch and was coming back for Colby. Brooklyn was no where in sight. Not a good feeling. Brandon did find her half way down the street in our car. Luckily it was unlocked.
So not a major natural disaster, but definitely scary for the kids and really a scary feeling as a mom not to be able to get to them hearing them screaming. As I write this, I realize it is time to go over the fire safety and our escape plans etc. again!
The kids did get to go trick or treating later that night. I planned on 4 houses since it was past bed time and freezing outside, but they wanted to do more and more! So we did. This is our sad and pathetic picture at the end of our trick or treating.
Dallin is a ghost, Brooklyn is a witch, Colby wore a cowboy hat, and Parker refused to dress up at all. I actually MADE a cute woody vest for both Colby and Parker and they wouldn't wear them! Just in case you don't know, that is a BIG deal for me! I don't sew very often!
